Jacob Skov Larsen is here presenting the test of the DPR system (Dynamic Pressure Regulation) of the Nexø 2 rocket. This system is what sets it apart from Nexø 1. The system is an extra section of the rocket about 1 m in length that sits above the Alcohol tank.
The section contains a Carbon Fiber high-pressure tank. This will be filled with the Helium gas at 300 bar used to pressurize the Alcohol and LOX tank.
This test is to confirm that the whole DPR system – Compromising of tank, piping, fittings aka “Christmas tree” – is airtight and can handle the pressure of 440 bars total. This is the 300 bar working pressure and the safety factor required.
