BPM5

The BPM5 engine is a 5 kN bi-propellant engine which was developed as an experimental engine prior to undertaking the design of the much larger 100 kN BPM100 engine. The BPM5 engine serves as a small scale test bed for various technologies before they are implemented into the BPM100 design. It runs on liquid oxygen (LOX) and an ethanol/water mixture.




HEAT-1X

HEAT-1X was launched on June 3rd 2011 from our launch platform Sputnik in the Baltic Sea east of Spaceport Nexø. Standing 9.38 meter tall and with a Gross Lift Off Weight of 1630 kg HEAT-1X was a game changer in amateur rocketry setting a completely new reference as to what amateur rocketeers can accomplish.




LES-TDS

Tycho Deep Space (TDS), nicknamed Beautiful Betty, is the 2nd generation prototype space capsule made at CS. It was accompanied by a Launch Escape System (LES) that would pull the capsule and astronaut away from danger, in case of problems during a launch.




Nexø I

Nexø I is the most advanced rocket build and launched by CS so far. The Nexø rocket class is a technology demonstrator in advance of building the significantly bigger Spica rocket that will take our astronaut to space.




Parachute tests

The Parachute Department is tasked with designing, building and testing the parachutes that will bring our rockets and capsules safely back to land.




Sapphire

The Sapphire rocket was launched on June 23rd 2013. It is a single stage hybrid rocket using a solid seven-port polyurethane fuel grain oxidized by nitrous oxide. With a Gross Lift-Off Weight of 202.7 kg it is the smallest rocket ever launched by CS. It is however one of the more advanced rockets we have ever build. The primary purpose of the Sapphire mission was to develop a navigation and thrust vectoring system capable of keeping the rocket on the correct trajectory.




Smaragd

Smaragd was an experimental, two stage hybrid rocket launched by Copenhagen Suborbitals on July 27th 2012.




TM65

TM65 is a rocket engine developed by Copenhagen Suborbitals. It uses Ethanol and liquid oxygen as propellants in a pressure-fed power cycle. Construction of the first prototype TM65 engine was completed in the spring of 2012 and successfully test fired in May 2012.
